Situated on an internal gulf front property lined with 15' high dunes, the challenge of this design was to get as many unobstructed water views as possible within height limitations called for by the development. 

 

To do this we flipped the standard floor plan, tucked all of the living spaces into the attic and introduced large dormers. Large decks off the back of the house along with a centrally located tower allow sweeping views of the gulf to the South. 

 

The owner also wanted to incorporate a pool into the design but site constraints meant that the pool needed to be pulled into the footprint of the house. Thus large swinging french doors allow for a more open feeling by letting the outside in.
