Founding Principal Wade R. Squiers is a 1988 graduate of Iowa State University with a Bachelors of Arts in Architecture and a 1992 graduate of Clemson University with a Masters of Architecture.

 

Upon graduating from Iowa State and desiring real world experience before pursuing his graduate school studies, Wade moved to Des Moines to work for Frey Baldwin Clause Architects.

 

In the fall of 1990 he began his graduate studies at Clemson University in South Carolina. One of the major highlights was spending a semester abroad at the Charles E. Daniel Center for Urban Studies in Genoa, Italy, studying under renowned Italian Architect Cesare Ferra. 

 

After graduating from Clemson, Wade spent the next 14 years working for some of the largest firms in Atlanta including Cooper Carry in their hospitality division, and Smallwood Reynolds Stewart Stewart & Associates where he helped design large Hotel Resort projects throughout the world. 

 

In 2004, Wade and his family moved to the Panhandle of Florida where he opened his own practice near the planned community of Seaside, which in the 1980's started the fledgling New Urbanist movement. During this time he designed dozens of high-end residences in various surrounding planned communities such as Seaside, Rosemary Beach and Watercolor. 

 

In 2011 Wade moved back to his home state of Iowa focusing on a variety of commercial projects including large conditioned self storage facilities throughout the Southeast, as well as custom home designs and residential remodeling.
